Lose Fat Off Your Waistline - Part 2

In part one we established a few facts about losing fat off your waistline.  First, it will take a bit of work to accomplish this goal.  Next, you need to cut down on your consumption of sugar because sugar changes to fat. Last, you need to, in some way, exercise the muscles in and around the stomach and waist area to work off some of the fat.

The original exercises we mentioned that will give you a start are sit-ups, crunches, swiveling back and forth in a swivel chair, and stationary pushups while holding in your stomach muscles tightly. 

Let’s look at some more exercise ideas to trim that waistline!  Add these ideas to our previously mentioned ideas.

Grab a slightly heavy small object that you can hold easily, something in the five to ten pound range. This could be a brick, a medicine ball, a small lamp - use your imagination. Now sit on the floor. Hold the object with both hands on the left side of your body with the object extended out at arm’s length.  Keeping your posterior firmly in place, “swing” the object quickly back and forth from one side of your body to the other.  This really works the muscles in the stomach area.  To work the muscles even more, lift your feet off the ground during the exercise.  Start out with three sets of fifteen and work your way up to more sets.

Now stand to your feet.  Keeping your feet firmly in place and holding the object with both hands about four inches out from your body, swivel the upper torso of your body back and forth.  Twist your upper torso as far as you possibly can.  The more you can stretch your muscles, the harder they have to work.  Start with three sets of thirty twists.

Now you are really starting to work the muscles in your waist area.  If you are consistent with your exercises and you are cutting down on your sugar intake, you should start to see a small change in your waistline in about two weeks.
